Dear saints: Lord willing, I will be making a trip to Malawi, Africa
in the month of May. It has been about three years since I was in
Malawi and I feel constrained to make another visit. If the Lord
opens the way, I will also visit some of the ministers and
congregations in the adjoining country of Mozambique. I desire your
prayers for the success of this trip.
Before Bro. Bob Sallee passed away, four years ago, upon his return
from Malawi, he expressed a burden and vision for a chapel building
to be built in Msikita Village. There is a real need for a building
not only for the local congregation in Msikita, but for the purpose
of camp meetings and national ministers meetings. There are other
needs as well, including monthly support of some of the native
ministers in Africa. If the Lord provides the funds, I will set
things in order next month in Malawi to follow through on Bro. Bob's
vision for a building.
If you would like to support the African work, funds can be sent to
the "Lawrence and Ruthe Taylor Foundation" with Africa as the
designation. The mailing address is.... This nonprofit foundation,
established in the interest of Church of God efforts, will
distribute the funds per instructions of the donor. All funds sent
to the foundation are tax-deductible and a receipt will be sent upon
request. I would appreciate all your prayers in this endeavor.
In His service,
-Bro. Michael Smith |
