Bendel State, Nigeria (Dec. 22)-Dear Bro. Pruitt! and other saints
of God: Greetings in the most precious name of the Babe of Bethlehem
who descended from the height of glory to the depth of shame for the
redemption of mankind from spiritual death. The shed blood of the
holy Lamb of God will never lose its power, no, never. It avails for
us forever. Amen.
We acknowledge with thanks the receipt of your letter dated December
1, 1979, and enclosures.
Our joy could not be adequately described for the arrival in our
midst of Bro. Jefferson Pierro, his wife, and daughter Sis.
Jefferlene Pierro, who touched down on the soil of Africa for the
first time in Lagos, Nigeria, on Dec. 18, 1979. At the airport to
receive them was Sis. Eunice C. Enu, the writer's eldest daughter,
who was dispatched to Lagos to welcome them to Nigeria.
With eager expectation the saints of Kwale congregation assembled as
early as 1:00 p.m. to hail the arrival of these U. S. saints who
finally pulled in at Kwale at exactly 2:15 p.m. It was a day of
happy smiles with warm embracing. Bro. Pierro and his wife live in
Earlimart, Calif., while their daughter, Jefferlene, lives in
Sacramento. Their visit is in answer to our standing invitation to
the saints of the U.S. to come over to Africa to see how we fare in
the Spirit and to labour with us.
While here in our midst, they will attend and participate in revival
meetings, open air evangelistic meetings, and personal witnessing. .
. . All the servants of God are on permanent, active service. . . .
This writer will travel with and conduct them all around the
congregations of the Church of God within and outside Bendel State.
The visitors are feeling well in body and happy in the Spirit. Take
your turn and come over. The world is for you to evangelize.
It is a matter of much appreciation to read that Sis. Dorothy Keiser
is now in India to attend camp-meetings convened over there. We pray
that through the meetings the light of God's dear Son will shine in
entire India.
