Nigeria, W. Africa (Jan. 18)-Dear Sis. Pruitt and all of God's
Kingdom: Greetings, and a happy New Year in the precious name of
Jesus, who is "the way, the truth, and the life." Praise Him
forever!
Thank you for your two letters to which no reply has been given, all
due to being overcrowded with work beyond description. Nevertheless
we have been in constant remembrance of the entire Church of God
congregations in prayer, especially during the revival meetings, for
a greater downpour of the Holy Ghost fire in the midst of all. God
does not change. The acquiring of divine authority was not limited
to the saints of the morning light, but we should faithfully
continue at our post of duty, seeking the blessing of the Godhead
with the demanded humility. The Apostle Peter wrote, "Be subject one
to another and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the
proud, and giveth grace to the humble." Let us in this year of 1984,
bridle our tongues, forget our colors, and continue with one accord
in earnest prayer which God will honor. . . .
We rejoiced for the arrival in our midst of four brothers from the
state of California, U. S. A. They were Bros. Jefferson Pierro,
David Pierro, Jonathan Pierro, and Joseph Pierro, who arrived in
Nigeria on Nov. 22, 1983. No time was wasted to get them absorbed in
the Lord's work. Apart from participating in all the scheduled
activities of the Church, they were in the traveling mission of this
writer to visit the saints at Agidigbo, Benekuku-Obiogo, Okpai
Oluchi, and Umuachi-Afor. Their visit was most encouraging to the
saints and hailed jubilantly. They left on their return to the U. S.
on Dec. 28, 1983.
We have fully sacrificed our time in order to be divinely confined
the year round. We are not in the service of Christ by appointment,
but by a commission received directly from the Lord of glory. Paul
never wavered in making this very assertion. Pray for our
confinement to His will.
Yours in Him, -Titus U. E. Enu |
