The Megan House
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” John 12:24
Megan Williamson spent 29 years touching the hearts and lives of others with her vibrant personality and bottomless servant-heart. As an RN she connected with her patients and ministered to their souls and spirits as well as their bodies. Her greatest joy was serving others.
Huruma Dolor Orphanage, a partnership of Africa Mission and Beyond in Kenya, was very dear to Megan’s heart. For several years, she had been monthly sponsoring an orphan. Megan had a servant’s heart. Not entirely realizing the value of the missionary work she performed as a nurse caring for, serving, and praying with her patients, she longed to serve the Lord in a “greater way” as a missionary to those in foreign lands. She wanted so much to visit Africa on a mission trip, but physical challenges prevented that. Before her death on May 11, 2022, she generously set aside a gift for Africa Mission & Beyond.

In cooperation with Megan’s family, Africa Mission & Beyond will use this gift as a seed donation for the Megan House to continue her legacy. The Megan House will provide housing for young women, previous residents of Huruma Dolor Orphanage in Kenya, who have graduated from college and have returned to serve at the orphanage. The proposed plan includes four bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a family room which would house eight young women around our Megan’s age and in a similar stage of life. There is great need at Huruma for housing like this for the alumni. We are excited to see the plans unfold and become reality.
The building stage will require around $25,000. If you would like to make the Megan House a reality, donations are received at

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
“To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”
